The UK has released its Biomass Strategy, which sets out the steps government intends to take to strengthen biomass sustainability and the opportunities for the use of sustainable biomass across multiple sectors of the economy in support of achieving the UK’s net zero target. NEF is featured as a case study, with our TEMPEC project funded by the Department for Energy Security and net Zero (DENZ), as part of the Feedstock Innovation program. The TEMPEC project is working on scaling high yielding perennial grasses to help meet the forward planting requirements in the UK, with NEF CEEDS technology.
